 International children's and youth circus art festival. Prague - Plzen. Czech Republic. "Circus of our childhood" 16.09.2010 - 22.09.2010 This program is intended for 7 days and 6 nights. The program is consist of festival and excursion parts. Festival’s goal: Create an open space for popularization of international cultural contacts in the sphere of circus art. Collectives of different circus genres can take part in this festival: acrobatics, jugglery, tightrope-walking, clownery etc. The price of participation is 275 euro per person. Price includes: - Festival fee. - accommodation in the hotel in Prague. - 3х meals a day (breakfast, dinner, supper) - transport services in Prague, during excursions and concert transfers - evening discos - excursion program

Festival part. Participants of the festival will take part in a competitive examination and in a gala-concert. Excursion part. - Pedestrian excursion throught the historical centre of Prague.

Dinner 15.30. departure for the excursion 16.00. – 19.00. three hour excursion “Meeting the Middle age Prague” You will walk along the Charles Brigde, a real symbol of Prague with it’s baroque sculptures. You will visit the Old Town Square Вы with it’s chiming clock. And at the end you get to theWenceslas Square, which is located in the inner heart of Prague, crowned by the majestic building of the National Museum. 20.00-21.00. The most prominent sights of Plzen are the Gothic St. Bartholomew's Cathedral, founded in the late 13th century, the tower of which (102.26 m) is the highest in the Czech Republic, the Renaissance Town Hall, and the Moorish Revival Great Synagogue in Plzen, the second largest synagogue in Europe, after the Dohány Street Synagogue in Budapest. There is also a 20km historic underground tunnel/cellar network, among the longest in Central Europe. Part of this network is open to the public for tours of approximately 750 metres in length and up to a depth of 12 metres.Plzen is also well-known for the Pilsner Urquell (since 1842) and Gambrinus (since 1869) breweries, currently owned by South African Breweries. A popular tourist attraction is the Plzeňský Prazdroj brewery tour where visitors can discover the history of beer. The district town Mělník lies in the middle of the Labe lowlands at the confluence of the rivers Labe and Vltava. The Region belongs to the most important agricultural areas of the Czech Republic. The main agricultural plants are fruits, vegetables, potatoes, corn, sugar beet and wine. The Mělník castle belongs to the most important sights of this town. The castle is built in the Renaissance style and the features of this style are the Arcades in the north and south part of the castle and the sgraphitos on the walls. Below the castle there are large wine cellars.The church St.Peter and Paul faces the Mělník castle. Originaly it was a Romanesque church, which was rebuilt in the Gothic style. The king Vladislav Jagelonský participated in the rebuilt too and that's why the vaults are decorated with the Ietter "W". The church was rebuilt three times and its today's appearance gained it in the third rebuilt in the 16th century. The Prague Zoo is one of the brightest sights of a town without being an architectural monument. This is a huge terrain, divided to 2 layers, upper and lower. The excursion starts at the Strahov Monastery. Then you will take a walk towards theHradcany Square, framed by barocco facades, which opens the enter to the PragueCastle, political and historical center of a town, Presidential Residence. Here you will see the monumental interiors of a St. Vittus, elegant King castle. |
