International youth festival-contest of oriental dance.  Prague. Czech Republic. "Grace of Orient" 19.08.2009 – 26.08.2009 Festival’s goal: Festival’s goal is to increase the popularity of the eastern dance, encourage the aspiration of artists, goup leaders, choreographs, and teachers for the artificial self-expression with the help of the ancient art of the eastern dance which has united technique and accuracy of the moves with expressivity and passion. As the main goals we consider experience exchange, making art contacts, creation of healthy competition and competitiveness This program is intended for 7 days and 6 nights. The program includes festival and excursion parts. Festival Part: Participants will present their contest program, which includes 2 performances in front of the special jury and take part in the gala-concert and art meeting with the representatives of the eastern dance schools in Czech Republic. Participation fee: 335 euros for children up to 16 years old 345 euros for adults Price includes: - Festival fee.

You will get an opportunity to walk the famous fairy tale town-resort, which was founded in XIV century by the imperator Charles IV after his hunting in this area. The town is known by it’s 12 hot mineral springs, which you will be able to taste by your own. 14.00-15.00 Dinner 15.00-18.00 free time. Excursion in the beer factory The excursion in the Staropramen beer factory. As it is well known, beer is a kind of a Czech symbol. Here, at the “Staropramen” factory, founded in 1869, you will get a unique opportunity the get to know beer-making procedure and get a taste of unfiltered “living” beer. 12.00. – 13.00. – dinner 13.00. – 16.30. Visiting the fortress Vysehrad in Prague Vysehrad fortress is considered to be the a cradle of the Czech Republic. According to the legend, exactly from this place princess Libuse looked at the nice view on Vlatva valley predicted the foundation of a great kingdom and it’s capital town. During the excursion you will visit St. Peter and St. Pavel cathedral. Departure | *Changes or alterations in the program are possible. In the festival can take part collectives and soloists, working in different areas of oriental dance Participation forms: · Solo · Duet · Groups (from 3 persons and more) During the festival every collective gets an opportunity to present their contest program and to gen an international diploma. Festival’s judges are honored figures of the Czech culture, teachers of the eastern dance of leading musical and choreographic institutes of Prague. Rating criteria: - Performance technique (rhythm, originality, difficulty level, synchronism in duets or groups)
- Composition and choreography ( figures, variations, usage of the dance area, chosen dance elements, cooperation)
- Artistry and image (self-expression, contact with spectators, expression of the idea, costum, make-up, properties)
